It froze heavy in The Netherlands in early January 2009. This finally gave many the opportunity to skate on open, natural ice on the many canals, ponds, lakes and waterways. Here we see a little adventure we took, which led us on many small canals, even through frozen swap land- and then finally the grand, open canal with clean, smooth ice!
